Overview of the Axis Companion Eye L

This affordable indoor IP camera from the Axis Companion range is capable of delivering HD 1080p resolution at full frame rate, complete with true day/night recording and up to 15m of infrared night vision. The units adjustable housing provides flexibility when mounting on walls and ceilings and the innovative, flat-faced design of the unit helps to suppress reflections. Additional features include support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and quick remote access via the free Axis Companion application.

Providing a viewing angle of 115°, this camera allows a wide area of the scene to be captured. Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology is included to help retain the level of detail across images in scenes with complex lighting conditions. Axis' Corridor Format allows users to vertically orientate the video stream to help maximise area coverage and reduce bandwidth when monitoring narrow scenes such as corridors or shopping aisles.

The free Axis Companion application is a simple video management solution for up to 16 camera channels. The software is available as a PC client or mobile application for iOS and Android devices and provides users with remote access to live views as well as playback of recordings - for a cost-effective surveillance solution.

Camera-based video motion detections help enhance scene awareness and, when using the Axis Companion application, can be set to trigger MicroSD card recording (card not included). Users can also connect one of the Axis Companion recorders to increase storage space up to 4TB and provide a simple, all-in-one monitoring and recording solution that is ideal for small business applications.

PoE support helps to simplify installation and the unit's 3-axis adjustment is a helpful time saver when setting the desired field of view. Additionally, Axis Zipstream technology lowers bandwidth and storage requirements, ensuring important details within the image are maintained within the stream, while unnecessary data can be removed.
