Camera

This cost-effective unit features a 2.8mm fixed lens that provides 108° horizontal field of view, enabling users to easily monitor small areas of interest. True day/night functionality with integrated IR-cut filter provides 24-hour CCTV surveillance and is enhanced with the built-in IR LEDs that illuminate at a distance of up to 20m – ideal for areas that require round-the-clock monitoring.

Imaging

A range of imaging technologies such as WDR, hallway view and digital noise reduction are included to ensure reliable video capture. Footage captured in high-contrast scenes is improved with WDR technology. By ensuring details in both bright and dark areas are not lost, objects and individuals can be more easily identified. Hallway view optimises surveillance of narrow areas by vertically orientating the video stream to ensure only relevant detail is captured. Furthermore, digital noise reduction improves the clarity of footage in low light by minimising noise disturbance for clear and detailed video.

Video analytics

To ensure optimum scene awareness, this unit features configurable camera-based video motion detection alarms that help to alert users of activity via email notification. Tampering alerts can also be set up to notify users of any attempted vandalism or unapproved access to the camera. Virtual line crossing detection allows users to set up triggers to notify them of potential intrusion or individuals in unauthorised areas.

Recording and Video Management

Edge recording stores data onto a MicroSD card (not included) allowing the camera to function as a standalone unit as well as providing smooth, uninterrupted data in the event of network failure. For a cost-effective surveillance solution, users can download the free Wisenet Viewer application for basic video management capabilities. If a more advanced video management solution is required, users can purchase a licence for Wisenet WAVE or Milestone XProtect which offer more advanced management options.

Installation

With support for PoE, this camera receives both power and network connectivity via a single cable, reducing installation costs and equipment needs. The QNO-7012R also supports a redundant DC power supply, ensuring that the camera can continue to function if an error occurs with the PoE power. Furthermore, WiseStream II compression technology also saves installation costs by reducing bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising the quality of important footage.
