Overview of the Vista VK2 1080MD37W

Sleek and compact Vista VK2 1080MD37W indoor mini dome network camera capable of wireless or cabled connectivity, high quality full HD 1080p video capture at 30 fps, Triple Streaming and Event Boost technologies for bandwidth and storage efficiency. Can be powered using PoE or 12VDC and provides robust edge storage and free 32-channel recording software, offering an ideal CCTV solution for small offices, boutiques, cafes and hotels.

Part of the affordable Vista W-series of wireless capable network cameras, the VK2-1080MD37W is unobtrusive and low profile, suitable for general indoor security monitoring. WiFi operation enables the camera to be connected to the network wirelessly, whilst support for wired connectivity with PoE support provides an additional option. HD 1080p video capture at a smooth 30 images per second provides high quality surveillance footage, and the 89° horizontal viewing angle ensures effective wide area coverage.

In addition, the VK2-1080MD37W also offers Vista’s Event Boost technology, which enable efficient bandwidth and storage use by recording detected events at high frame rate whilst continuous recording can be set to take place at a lower rate. Triple Streaming technology enables 3 streams to be separately configured to optimise bandwidth and storage, with a choice of H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG compression formats.

Power can be supplied to the camera via either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or locally using 12VDC. With a built-in MicroSD card slot and support for on-board recording, the Vista VK2-1080MD37W can store recordings locally for transfer to a centralised device at a later time, relieving the network and enabling stand alone use if required. Vista provides the VK2-1080MD37W with free 32-channel recording software and iOS and Android apps are also available for remote access via smartphones and tablets.
