Overview of the Veracity Outsource VOR-OS

The Veracity Outsource VOR-OS is a 1-port Power over Ethernet (POE) midspan suitable for injecting power into a standard Ethernet cable to power a PoE enabled device.

The VOR-OS is fully IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet compliant which will deliver power to PoE enabled devices up to a maximum of 12.95W (PoE Class 0). It can also be used in high-power operation with Veracity Outreach LAN/PoE extenders to supply power over distances up to 700m.

Using PoE greatly simplifies installation. It requires no expensive electrical work to be carried out on site as the power runs in standard Ethernet cable. PoE devices can also be placed in a much wider range of locations as they don’t require a conventional power source at the point of installation.
