Overview of the Hanwha Vision QND-6010R

This compact IP camera from Hanwha Vision delivers 2 megapixel resolution video at full frame rate. It supports true day/night recording, enhanced by integrated infrared illumination (maximum range of 20 meters) for effective round-the-clock monitoring. The unit is housed in a vandal-resistant casing which allows it to be safely deployed in exposed locations, and can be easily installed via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). Additionally, the free SmartViewer 36-channel software is supported, as well as remote access via mobile devices.

• 2MP resolution with a 2.8mm fixed lens and 110° view (QND-6010R)
• 2MP resolution with a 3.6mm fixed lens and 86° view (QND-6020R)
• 2MP resolution with a 6mm fixed lens and 52° view (QND-6030R)

The camera provides a horizontal viewing angle of 110° (model dependent), enabling a wide area of the scene to be captured. Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology is supported to help improve images captured in challenging lighting conditions by compensating for bright light and dark shadows - ensuring individuals and objects are clearly visible. Additionally, hallway viewing mode helps to maximise the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream and preventing redundant areas from being recorded.

Configurable video motion detection alarms are available which alert users of any activity via notifications such as email. These alarms can also trigger recording to the on-board microSD card (not included) – ensuring no vital footage is missed. The unit’s integrated alarm I/O ports allow users to connect additional devices that can help to enhance alarm signalling, whilst the built-in microphone enables users to listen in to activity occurring close to the camera.

With support for PoE, this camera is able to receive power and network connectivity over one cable for cost-effective installation. WiseStream technology is also included to help lower bandwidth and storage requirements. It does this by analysing and optimising the video stream in real time, recording interesting detail in high quality, whilst filtering other areas out.
