Overview of the Raytec Vario w8-1

The Raytec w8-1 is part of the Vario series of white-light LED illuminators and enables a security camera to product full colour video in addition to providing a visual deterrent. The flexible w8-1 one panel illuminator delivers flexible lighting that can be adapted to best suit different scenes. 10°, 35° and 60° Vario holographic lens inserts are included with the w8-1 unit, or optional 80° and 120° are also available if wider illumination is required (please select additional lenses from the drop down menu above if required). The w8-1 unit can be used indoors or outdoors and has an IP66-rated and vandal-resistant casing for durability.

Featuring Hot-spot Reduction Technology (HRT), the w8-1 delivers more light to where it is needed, generating longer illumination distances and preventing overexposure. Platinum advanced LED technology provides high performance illumination, with each LED featuring Light Intensification Miniature Optics and an enhanced Cool Running thermal management system. The w8-1 supports Raytec’s Green Touch Technology to enhance energy savings, providing lower running costs and efficient operation.

The optional Raytec Vario remote control provides access to an increased feature set and enables easy ground-level set-up (not included – please select from the drop down menu above if required). The Vario w8-1 has a 5 year warranty and comes with a bracket for installation to a wall or ceiling.
