This keypad door reader is a contactless RFID access control reader designed for use with Paxton Net2 systems. The reader is multi-format and can be used with a choice of access tokens including MIFARE® Classic protocol ISO 14443A, and EM4100 and Paxton Net2 proximity cards and fobs. It detects authorised credentials when held near the reader to grant or deny access. The metal housing ensures the reader can be used on interior and exterior doors. It provides access status indication through multi-coloured LEDs.
Operation
Users can present a proximity token, enter a PIN code, or use both together depending on the users defined access configuration. The Net2 control unit checks permissions and grants or denies entry with LEDs providing clear visual feedback.
Installation
Centrally exiting cabling simplifies connection to the control unit and accurate drilling. Its slim profile allows neat and unobtrusive installation on doors or walls.
