The camera's Electronic Day/Night feature improves low-light surveillance, producing monochrome video with brighter details than with conventional colour footage. The in-built motion detection system triggers events such as FTP upload, email sending or increasing image quality when people move into view, ensuring a high quality image only when required and optimising bandwidth use.

Bundled Panasonic recording software offers video storage at no additional cost, while being ONVIF-compliant, the camera can easily be added to a wide range of video recording platforms quickly and easily. Panasonic's face detection also recognises faces in view, sending positional data to compatible CCTV recording systems.
