This add-on application for Milestone XProtect extends the capabilities of the video management software to help improve patient care within the healthcare sector. This dedicated remote patient monitoring application helps to free up time and resources in hospitals and care homes so care professionals can deliver high-quality patient care, whilst reducing their overall workload.

Access live video from patients' rooms to observe them 24/7, minimising the demand for bedside visits which could, for example, disturb patients during the night. Rapid response alerts generated by incidents including patient falls and other dangerous events are detected by AI-driven algorithms. When used with IP cameras and devices with microphones, staff can proactively engage with residents through two-way audio communication to check on their condition and if they need  assistance. Further, you can listen in to several rooms simultaneously with Multiroom Audio, monitoring patient wellbeing at all times.

Maintain patient privacy and dignity with Privacy Blur, a configurable and adjustable setting enabling privacy when observation could invade patient privacy and dignity. In hectic hospital environments with constant staff changover, the Sticky Note feature helps the nurse monitoring the cameras to quickly get a full in-video overview of a patient by reading or adding important data such as names and other essential care requirements or observations to a visual note on each camera.

Video Analytics

Patient falls can result in serious harm which can lead to prolonged treatment and hefty injury-related recovery costs. Cameras associated with XProtect Hospital Assist support the Fall Detection analytic, using AI algorithms to determine if a person is lying on the floor, or has fallen, in turn generating an alarm event. Healthcare professionals are then notified via the Alarm Manager, indicating where and when the incident occurred so an alert can be raised and care staff can attend immediately. Users can also view live video of the incident in an instant, helping staff to better understand the situation and how best to approach it.
