This intelligent and secure indoor dome by i-PRO is equipped with a range of features that make it suitable for general surveillance in medium-sized businesses. Featuring support for up to 2 edge-based deep learning analytics applications running simultaneously, this camera can analyse the scene it sees to offer precise object detection and metadata search. This means more accurate detection with minimal false alarms.

The camera’s three I/O ports allow you to connect external devices to help boost alarm signalling or enable audio detection or communication around the camera. To keep the cost of ownership low, the S1236A includes Smart Coding capabilities that reduce bandwidth by up to 50% without compromising important footage, lowering storage costs. Furthermore, designed to be used in all manner of light conditions, this unit has an array of advanced imaging technologies to counteract the effects of difficult lighting.

Imaging and Optics

Capturing round-the-clock video in 2MP resolution at a framerate of up to 60fps, the S2136A prioritises clear, reliable footage, no matter the light conditions. In lighting as low as 0.007 lux, the unit can still capture detailed full-colour video, which is enhanced by digital noise reduction technology to improve the clarity of the footage in darker conditions. Intelligent Auto is another handy feature that analyses conditions and adjusts key camera settings accordingly, reducing motion blur and providing crisp, clear video. It is easy to obtain your ideal viewing angle with the 2.9 - 9 mm varifocal lens. At installation, you can set the horizontal view between 36° and 115° and the vertical view between 20° and 61°. When monitoring narrow scenes such as hallways or aisles, corridor mode can be set up to maximise coverage by vertically orientating the video stream. Moreover, Super Dynamic WDR offsets high contrast lighting to produce clearer imaging in areas prone to under- or over-exposure.

Video Analytics

A key feature of this camera is its intelligent AI-based analytics, in addition to standard motion-based email notifications and recording triggers, the i-PRO S2136A simultaneously supports up to 2 AI applications for powerful and highly accurate object detection that can differentiate between vehicles, humans, bicycles and can detect faces. These intelligent capabilities can enable further analytics capabilities such as AI occupancy detection and AI Privacy guard to monitor and notify you of crowding and to dynamically mask moving objects.

Additionally, when the camera is connected to Milestone XProtect VMS, the Active Guard plug-in can be utilised to enhance search functions using the metadata gathered from the camera – saving time when trying to locate a specific individual or event.

Equipped with pre-installed signed certificates, a FIPS 140-2 level 3 certified Secure Element and NDAA compliance, you can rest assured that your data is secure and your camera is protected from unauthorised access and malware.
