Built for outdoor use in its IK10 vandal-resistant casing, the robust U2540LA dome by i-PRO offers an affordable solution for external surveillance that delivers 4MP resolution video capture 24 hours a day. The unit’s round-the-clock recording is enhanced by the built-in IR illumination and is also complemented by its colour night vision, providing natural video capture when light levels are low. Additional built-in imaging technologies such as intelligent Auto (iA), noise reduction and Super Dynamic WDR also contribute to enhanced image usability in the camera. Cybersecurity features such as pre-installed secure certificates and end-to-end encryption protect the unit from cyber attacks and unauthorised access. Designed to offer the best possible image quality at an attractive price, the U2540LA is suitable for general outdoor use in small to medium installations.

Imaging and Optics

This robust outdoor unit features a 4MP sensor that delivers video at up to 30 frames per second. Its fixed 3.2mm lens delivers a wide horizontal view of 100° that can be rotated in corridor mode to maximise coverage in narrow scenes. With up to 20m of IR illumination, the camera produces clear monochrome images in complete darkness and can capture full-colour video in light levels as low as 0.006 lux, making it easier to identify objects and events in difficult lighting.

Additional features that improve low-light performance are iA and noise reduction, these technologies help to reduce motion blur and graininess in the footage. Furthermore, Super Dynamic WDR compensates for bright light and dark shadows in scenes with challenging lighting and ensures objects are clearly visible. 

Video Analytics

Offering dynamic scene awareness, the camera is equipped with video motion detection and scene change detection alarms that can alert you to movement or changes in the camera’s view in a number of ways. A recording trigger can also be set up when possible incidents are detected to start recording to the storage media of your choice.

Installation and Mounting Options

Robust by design, the i-PRO U2540LA is encased in an IP66 and IK10-rated housing that allows it to be deployed in environments in which it would be exposed to harsh weather and risk of vandalism. With straightforward installation as a priority, this camera receives network and power via one cable with PoE support.
