The Bosch Videojet X40 is a 4-port video server built into a rugged industrial-grade housing suitable for outdoor applications and harsh environments.

The encoder has 4 analogue video inputs which allows up to 4 existing analogue CCTV cameras to integrate into a digital IP infrastructure. This provides streaming video to be broadcast over digital IP networks and gives digital IP benefits such as remote access to live images over the Internet as well as intelligent video applications such as video motion detection and tampering alarm activity.

Heavy-duty construction enables the encoder to be used in outdoor applications and in extreme environmental conditions. Industrial-grade vibration resistance also makes this encoder ideal for use in public transport vehicles such as buses and trains etc. Like all products on offered by Network Webcams, the Bosch Videojet X40 has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet.

• The encoder can store up to 10 programmable recording profiles. These allow you to adjust the frame-rate or resolution of a specific video stream based on alarm activity
• External alarm inputs allows the recording of images based on external devices such as switches, doorbells, window sensors etc.
• Relay outputs allows external devices to be controlled through the unit such as an audible alarm or a light
• Viewing can be achieved using a standard Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or in a VIDOS monitor wall or Bosch video management system
• Security comprises of multi-level user logins, 802.1x authentication using a RADIUS server and SSL encryption by secure HTTPS connection. For total data protection the data channel can be AES encrypted with a 128bit key
• Intelligent Video Motion Detection (IVMD) and is optional licensed video content analysis software which can be installed to provide intelligent functionality such as adapting to global lighting changes and weather conditions, detection of objects entering or leaving an area, direction of travel or speed of object. (software not supplied as standard)
• Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) software can also be added as an option for multi-level image analysis functions
