The Bosch Videojet X20 is a rugged, dual-input encoder suitable for converting up to 2 legacy analogue video streams for broadcast over IP digital networks. This provides IP camera benefits such as remote access to live video across the network or Internet as well as intelligent applications such as motion detection and tampering alarm activity.

The encoder includes a number of flexible recording options including built-in Compact Flash recording, external USB hard drive or network attached iSCSI devices. It also provides an audio line input and output for 2-way communication.

Rugged construction makes this encoder suitable for industrial applications in areas with extreme environmental conditions such as perimeter, gate, fence control as well as installation on public transportation vehicles such as trains and buses. Like all products on offered by Network Webcams, the Bosch Videojet X20 has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet.

• Viewing can be achieved using a standard Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or in a VIDOS monitor wall or Bosch video management system
• Security comprises of multi-level user logins, 802.1x authentication using a RADIUS server and SSL encryption by secure HTTPS connection. For total data protection the data channel can be AES encrypted with a 128bit key
• Intelligent Video Motion Detection (IVMD) and is optional licensed video content analysis software which can be installed to provide intelligent functionality such as adapting to global lighting changes and weather conditions, detection of objects entering or leaving an area, direction of travel or speed of object.
