This compact micro-dome from Bosch delivers up to 5MP resolution at full frame rate (model dependent) for smooth video capture. It is housed in an IK10 and IP66-rated casing so can be used reliably outdoors. Other handy features include advanced imaging technologies such as intelligent dynamic noise reduction (IDNR) and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), as well as the inclusion of Bosch’s Essential Video Analytics and support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation. Users can also remotely access the unit via the Bosch Video Security mobile application.

Camera
The fixed 2.3mm lens provides a wide horizontal viewing angle of 132° which makes this model ideal for monitoring open outdoor spaces. An alternative 2.8mm lens is also available in both 2MP and 5MP models - allowing users to select the ideal viewing angle for their requirements. The unit provides users with a reliable recording solution and integrated audio and alarm I/O ports enable users to connect external devices to further enhance security monitoring.
Imaging
Advanced imaging capabilities deliver high quality, reliable imaging. Bosch’s IDNR technology analyses the scene and reduces noise levels to produce clear images. WDR technology is also included and improves captured in high contrast lighting conditions by compensating for bright light and dark shadows in the scene. Additionally, intelligent defog can be configured to activate when conditions such as smoke and fog are detected.
Video analytics
Bosch’s edge-based Essential Video Analytics are included with this unit. This enables users to configure audio and motion detection alerts alongside tampering alarms to help notify users of possible incidents. The i-LIDS approved technology offers a total of 14 rules, 8 of which users can set to run simultaneously. Detailed meta data is also recorded during image capture to enable quick retrieval of specific footage from hours of stored video. In addition, it is possible to connect external devices via the unit’s built-in I/O ports – helping to further enhance alarm signalling.
Video management
Bosch offers a range of handy viewing options including the supplied Bosch Video PC Client, browser-based access and the free Video Security app. Ideal for smaller installations, this app provides quick access to live views, camera control and recording playback at any time or place – all from a mobile device. This unit can also be integrated with high-performance third-party VMS such as Milestone XProtect. Additionally, the camera’s built-in microSD card slot supports edge storage which can provide a handy backup of data in the event of a network failure (microSD card not included).
Installation
The installation process is simplified by PoE support which provides power and network connectivity over a single cable. The high-quality camera is also housed in a robust IP66 and IK10-rated casing – allowing it to be used reliably in exposed outdoor locations.
