This outdoor-ready PTZ camera provides highly detailed video in 4K resolution at full frame rate. It also features full pan/tilt functionality and 20x optical zoom for in-depth scene investigation. Part of Axis’ Q series that’s known for its variety of high-performance features, the camera includes Axis’ powerful ARTPEC-7 chipset which boosts processing power and performance – enabling the provision of intelligent analytics and imaging technologies such as Axis Object Analytics and wide dynamic range.
The powerful unit can deliver 4K resolution at up to 25 frames per second, or up to 50 fps in all lower resolutions. It features an endless 360° pan and 220° tilt to offer comprehensive navigation across wide outdoor areas - allowing activity to be easily monitored by the operator. This is further enhanced by the 20x optical zoom that allows the scene to be inspected in even greater detail.
Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology improves images captured in challenging lighting conditions by compensating for bright light and dark shadows - ensuring individuals and objects are clearly visible and easily identified. In addition, the camera also includes Axis’ Zipstream technology which preserves important detail whilst significantly reducing bandwidth and saving valuable storage space; this is especially helpful when dealing with high-resolution images such as 4K that feature a high pixel count.
Axis Object Analytics come with this camera as standard, which helps to detect and classify moving objects in a scene and allows users to apply conditions for sending alarms - such as movement or line crossing. Additionally, the unit’s configurable video motion detection alarms are enhanced by Axis’ Active Gatekeeper technology, Autotracking 2 and orientation aid; these features combined help to identify regions of interest when motion is detected and follow the target object to enable detailed surveillance. Furthermore, a range of basic analytics are also included such as object counting, to help enhance scene awareness, and mosaic privacy masking to conceal areas that do not require surveillance.
Edge storage provides a handy backup in cases of network intermittence (SD card not included). The camera is also integrated with support for network-attached storage (NAS) devices which offer larger storage capacities. Users are also able to integrate this unit into high-performance video management systems such as Axis Camera Station or Milestone XProtect for comprehensive monitoring of footage.
This camera includes an Axis High PoE midspan, combining both power and network connectivity into one cable for simplified and cost-effective installation. Furthermore, the camera’s housing is IP67 and IK10-rated, allowing it to function between -20 and 50°C in exposed environments prone to vandalism.
