Capturing 4K resolution video in a wide range of light conditions thanks to Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR and 40m OptimisedIR illumination, the Q3538-LVE is ideal for outdoor applications that require highly intuitive monitoring.
Part of the innovative Q series by Axis, the Q3538-LVE outdoor dome provides high-quality 4K resolution video at up to 60 frames per second (fps) – ideal for areas of high activity that require smooth round-the-clock surveillance. Integrated with Axis’ latest chipset (ARTPEC-8), this unit makes use of a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) to offer intuitive and more granular object analytics than seen in previous models. Furthermore, the camera features vandal-resistant IR-shielded casing with a weathershield, and Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+).
Featuring a varifocal lens that allows views of 39° - 103° to be set during installation, this camera is suitable for more demanding outdoor use cases. A 2x optical zoom enables closer inspection of areas of interest, whilst 24-hour recording is possible thanks to the automatic IR-cut filter, which is enhanced by the OptimisedIR LEDs illuminating up to 40m around the camera. Additionally, the camera features an IR-shielded dome that reduces reflections from the IR LEDs, resulting in clear, sharp video.
Advanced imaging technologies allow this unit to capture high-quality footage in all manner of light conditions. Full-colour video is delivered in extreme low-light levels using Lightfinder 2.0 technology whilst Forensic WDR - optimised for motion - balances bright lights and shadows to produce clearly detailed video with few motion artefacts. Moreover, Corridor format is included and allows the monitoring of narrow scenes to be optimised by rotating the sensor 90° - preventing the recording of redundant areas.
Due to its advanced chipset and DLPU, the Q3538-LVE offers powerful deep learning applications onboard, improving the accuracy and granularity of object analytics and reducing false alerts. Motion detection notifications are also enhanced due to more powerful detection and the camera’s ability to build upon learned processes. Furthermore, Axis’ Camera Application platform features a range of certified and custom applications – allowing users to choose the analytics most suited to their requirements.
Edge recording stores video footage onto a MicroSD card (not included) which provides a handy backup of data if the connection to the network is lost. Video viewing, editing, setting of alarm triggers and a range of other video management options are available through advanced video management software such as Axis Camera Station or Milestone XProtect.
With robust IK10 and IP66-rated housing, this camera can withstand vandal attempts and harsh weather conditions – making it well-suited for exposed outdoor areas. Support for PoE+ reduces cabling by delivering both power and network connectivity via a single cable – simplifying installation.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
