Overview of the Axis P8514 (0454-001)

The Axis P8514 IP camera is designed for unobtrusive surveillance in shops or business receptions. The camera features a pinhole camera for disctreet, unobtrusive surveillance. The camera is also mounted at eye level.

People in view can be easily identified by the Axis P8514 IP camera, even from a distance since the camera offers HD720p video with smooth, sharp footage. Video can be encoded with H.264 video compression, reducing bandwidth usage and hard drive storage requirements while still maintaining a high image quality.

Installation is very straight forward as the camera comes with mounting clamps included as well as a pre-mounted Ethernet connection. The camera's Pixel Counter system lets installers veryfy that adequate resolution is available for facial identification, while power over Ethernet support lets the camera draw power from a centralized location, so no additional electrical cabling is required.
