This Axis P7216 Surveillance Kit comprises an Axis P7216 video encoder and Axis Camera Station recording software with a 16-channel license.
The Axis P7216 video encoder enables the cost-effective migration of an analogue CCTV camera system to IP video, using existing CCTV cameras (up to a maximum of 16 alalogue/coax cameras). The encoder will convert the analogue video signals into H.264 and/or Motion JPEG streams at full frame rate and up to D1 resolution to provide smooth video data and intelligent video capabilities that can alert the operator to potential security breaches. This encoder also supports 2-way audio and PTZ control. 4 built-in memory card slots (one for each bay of 4 cameras) provide edge storage for failover protection in case of network problems. Sensors and external relays can also be connected to enable light activation, door unlocking and other I/O actions. This device can either be used as a standalone unit or can be rack mounted.
The included Axis Camera Station recording software offers local or remote recording, live viewing and playback of cameras either via the network or over the Internet. Mobile support also enables cameras to be viewed via smartphones and tablets for convenient access whilst on the move. Axis Camera Station is easy to use, with the new configuration wizard that quickly and efficiently sets up events to make the best use of your cameras with minimal user intervention. The software provides easy searching and can also synchronise camera playback to view recordings from up to 4 separate cameras simultaneously.
