Overview of the Axis P5515

Designed for indoor use and out of the box ready, this pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) network camera is capable of producing HD 1080p video at up to 30 frames per second (fps). Part of the affordable Axis P55 series, the compact camera provides a 360° pan with auto-flip - allowing a large field of view to be captured with a single unit. Optical zoom capability enables the user to obtain a closer view within the scene. Additional features of this indoor PTZ include support for two-way audio and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).

The camera features a 12x optical zoom that enables to user to obtain a closer view of specific areas of interest within the scene, while a 10x digital zoom allows further investigation into the image - ideal for identification. Auto-flip functionality automatically flip's the image allowing the camera to continuously track an object moving 360° around the camera and the advanced gatekeeper technology enables the camera to automatically move to a preset position when motion is detected in a designated area.

The unit's integrated automatic infrared (IR) cut filter provides a round the clock surveillance solution by switching the image from full colour to black and white for night vision.

Support for two-way audio is enabled when an optional multi-connector (not included) is used giving the user the ability to interact and hear activity within the scene. Additionally, when the multi-connector is used, audio detection is configurable - providing a higher level of scene awareness. A range of video motion detections can be configured and when triggered, send alerts to the user via several notification methods such as email.

Housed in an IP51 rated casing that ensures protection against dust and water droplets, the camera is able to operate within an internal installation even if a sprinkler system activated - ideal for placement within hotel lobbies and warehouses.

With support for PoE this camera is able to receive power and network connectivity over one cable, creating a quick and cost-effective installation solution. Edge storage is supported with the model's integrated microSD card slot (card not included) enabling data to be stored and used as a backup in the case of network failure.
