Overview of the Axis P5514-E

Featuring full pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) functionality with 360° pan and auto-flip, this IP camera by Axis is capable of delivering HD 720p at up to 60 frames per second (fps) - providing smooth, high quality video footage. Housed in an IP66 rated weather proof housing, this network camera is able to capture a wide field of view in an external installation. A 12x optical zoom enables the user to obtain a closer view of areas of interest and the integrated infrared (IR) cut filter provides true day/night capability. In addition, the camera supports edge storage and PoE.

To ensure continued operation in challenging outdoor conditions, the camera is capable of operating in temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F). The external-ready camera is housed in an IP66 and NEMA 4X-rated casing, which offers robust protection against rain, snow and dust. With the capability of capturing full colour images in the day and monochrome images at night, the camera's day/night functionality provides a round the clock security solution for outdoor installations.

The camera's 12x optical zoom (with autofocus) ensures a clear and detailed view. The camera also features a 10x digital zoom that enables in-depth surveillance – ideal for identification purposes. Auto-flip technology allows the image to instantly flip 180° and continue to pan - ideal for tracking an object or person moving directly underneath the camera.

Advanced Gatekeeper technology enables the camera to automatically move to a pre-set position when motion is detected in a pre-defined area. A range of video motion detections can be configured to increase scene awareness and when triggered, alerts can be sent to the user via a range of notifications such as email.

Capable of streaming multiple H.264 video feeds simultaneously, the user is able to tailor their monitoring and recording settings to optimise use of network resources and storage. In the event of network failure, the integrated micro SD/SDHC card slot (card not included) can save recorded footage locally. Both network connectivity and power can be supplied to the camera through a single cable with Power over Ethernet (PoE) reducing wiring costs and simplifying installation.
