Fitted with Axis’ latest ARTPEC-8 chipset, the P3827-PVE is the most advanced model in the P38 range and boasts a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) and four separate sensors that stitch together to create a seamless panoramic view. The camera’s built-in PTRZ functionality enables easy remote adjustment of its positioning and its IP66 and IK10-rated casing protects it from harsh weather and tampering. Axis’ reliable cybersecurity features, including signed firmware and Axis Edge Vault, prevent unauthorised access. Furthermore, advanced imaging technologies ensure that you get clear footage, whatever the light conditions.
Imaging and Optics
Delivering clear 7MP resolution video at up to 30 fps and featuring four fixed 3.3 mm lenses combine to deliver 180° horizontal and 90° vertical area coverage - enabling this unit to capture extensive scenes in full detail. With four cameras in a single unit, it required only one IP address and one VMS licence, providing a more cost-effective monitoring solution. Each sensor’s image is seamlessly stitched together to create a comprehensive panoramic view. Lightfinder, an advanced imaging technology designed to deliver full-colour video in near darkness. Forensic WDR is supported, enabling details in high-contrast scenes to be viewed clearly. By ensuring details in both bright and dark areas are not lost, objects and individuals can be more easily identified.
Video Analytics
In addition to configurable motion-based alarm notifications, the camera’s ARTPEC-8 chipset allows it to run advanced analytics applications such as Axis Object analytics, for accurate identification and classification of humans and vehicles, audio detection (when devices are connected via I/O ports) and an active tampering alarm, to increase situational awareness.

Installation and mounting options
This robust camera is housed in IK10 vandal-resistant and IP66/67 weather-proof housing, whilst a weathershield is included to reduce sun glare or moisture on the dome cover. Pan/tilt/roll functionality makes remote adjustment of the camera position easy and PoE support simplifies the installation process by delivering both power and network connectivity over a single cable. Axis' Zipstream technology recognises when there is no movement in the scene and lowers image quality, resulting in an overall reduction in bandwidth and storage requirements. A range of cybersecurity features protect the camera from unauthorised access that could harm or compromise important data.
Wall and ceiling mounting is possible out of the box, however for pole or back-to-back mounting the following accessories are required:
