Overview of Axis P3344

The Axis P3344 is an IP camera with full HD 720p capability, offering an optimised, detailed image ideal for a wide range of applications. Combined with H.264 video compression, this provides a high-detail image with low demands on your network resources. As well as this, day/night functionality provides a 24-hour surveillance solution utilising an automatically removable infrared filter. During the day, the automated system will provide a full-colour HD image, switching during night hours to an infrared-sensitive black and white image. This can be combined with digital pan/tilt/zoom technology, which allows you to focus on a specific area of the camera's field of view.

Alongside these technologies, the P3344 features a tamper-resistant casing to deter attempts to interfere with the camera's workings, and built-in motion detection, anti-tampering and audio alarms (using the camera's built-in microphone) notify you by e-mail of any untoward activity and trigger recording, either remotely or on the camera itself using an SD card (not supplied).

In order to aid installation, the camera features remote zoom and focus functions and a built-in pixel counter, all of which help the installer to optimise image quality and ensure it meets any user or regulatory requirements.

This camera is compatible with the free Axis Camera Companion software, with support for up to 16 cameras on your network. Axis Camera Companion allows you to view, playback and record HDTV-quality video directly to an SD card instead of a central PC or DVR, helping to save on storage. View footage from your cameras using PCs and through your mobile phone with downloadable apps for iPad, iPhone and Android devices, allowing you to take your surveillance on the move.
