Overview of Axis P3343-V

The Axis P3343-V is a security camera designed for installation in public indoor areas susceptible to vandalism, such as universities, schools and bus stations. The camera's vandal-resistant casing is able to sustain impacts of up to 1,000 kg.

The camera is capable of providing a full, round-the-clock day/night surveillance solution utilising an automatically removable infrared filter. During the day, the camera will provide full-colour images, switching automatically to a black and white infrared-sensitive image when light conditions drop below necessary levels. Alongside the day/night functionality, digital pan/tilt/zoom technology allows you to focus on a particular area of the camera's field of view. A built-in microphone allows you to listen to the camera's surroundings, and anti-tampering, motion and audio alarms can automatically notify you by email of any activity and trigger recording, either remotely or locally on an SD card (not supplied).

To aid installation, the P3343-V features Power over Ethernet, which provides power and a network connection through one cable. Remote focus, zoom, and a built-in pixel counter allows the installer to configure the camera remotely to ensure image quality meets user or regulatory requirements.

The Axis P3343-V is also compatible with Axis’ free Camera Companion software. Record directly to an SD card to help save on storage, play back footage and export HDTV-quality video onto local PCs and mobile phones with downloadable apps for Android devices, iPhone and iPad.
