Ideal for exposed locations, the outdoor-ready Axis P3265-LVE dome camera captures video in HD 1080p resolution at full frame rate and protects from inclement weather and tampering. Featuring Axis’ advanced ARTPEC-8 chipset, the unit makes use of a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) to deliver object analytics onboard the camera, quickly identifying and classifying objects such as people and vehicles and assigning them into sub-categories, offering greater accuracy and fewer false alarms. Moreover, the camera also includes Lightfinder 2.0 technology, Forensic WDR and up to 40m OptimisedIR.

Camera

Allowing users to adjust the camera’s viewing angle during installation, this unit features a choice of varifocal lens with views of 36° - 100° (9mm) or 15° - 35° (22mm) - providing flexibility in setting the optimum field of view. 24-hour monitoring is possible thanks to the built-in IR-cut filter that automatically switches to night vision mode in low light levels, and this is enhanced further by 40m of IR illumination. Additionally, the Axis P3265-LVE is encased in weather-resistant housing and features a weathershield to protect the lens from droplets and sunlight that may obscure the image.

Imaging

To ensure that this unit provides detailed imaging in a range of conditions, advanced imaging technologies are available to compensate for challenging lighting or to enhance capture for specific applications. Lightfinder 2.0 delivers clear, full-colour footage in dark conditions, whilst Forensic WDR balances light and dark areas in high-contrast scenes to minimise noise and artefacts that could reduce the video quality. AI-based face blurring technology is available via Axis Live privacy shield to dynamically protect the identities of individuals in the viewing area. Corridor Format technology is also included to maximise the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream and preventing redundant areas from being recorded.

Video analytics

In addition to Axis Object Analytics (AOA), video motion detection alerts can be configured to enhance dynamic scene awareness and deliver reliable security monitoring, by triggering email notifications if an object or individual of interest is detected. The integrated alarm and audio I/O ports allow users to connect external devices that can help enhance alarm signalling or enable features such as two-way audio. Additionally, third-party applications can be downloaded through the Axis Camera Application Platform to provide customisable analytics suited for all manner of requirements.

Video management

The built-in MicroSD card slot (card not included) offers a helpful backup of data if the network fails and allows the camera to be used in a standalone set-up. Basic video management is available for up to 16 camera channels via the free downloadable Axis Companion Application. If more advanced management is required, the camera is also compatible with Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect.

Installation

Installation is made simple with helpful features such as Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support - delivering power and network connectivity to the camera over a single cable. Axis Zipstream compression technology reduces bandwidth usage, therefore optimising storage capabilities without compromising the quality of important footage. Furthermore, the camera’s robust IK10-rated casing means it can be placed in exposed outdoor locations prone to vandalism attempts.
