This high-performance, vandal-resistant dome IP camera provides full HD 1080p resolution video at up to 25 frames per second (fps) in outdoor scenes – 24 hours a day. Featuring both Axis’ ARTPEC-7 chip and a Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU), this camera’s innovative dual chipset enables improved performance of analytics and imaging technologies such as Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR. OptimisedIR technology is also included and other additional features include support for Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), onboard storage (microSD card sold separately) and support for the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP).
The outdoor-ready unit is equipped with a varifocal lens that provides horizontal views of up to 100° and allows optimum scene coverage to be set during installation. OptimisedIR technology enables reliable monitoring in complete darkness, with a range of reach of up to 40m. An external microphone can be connected for audio recording (not included), and two-way audio functionality can be achieved by connecting an external speaker via the optional Axis T61 audio and I/O interfaces (sold separately).
Forensic WDR technology retains image details in high-contrast lighting while also helping to ensure that few motion artefacts are apparent in busy scenes. For full-colour images in near-dark conditions, Lightfinder 2.0 technology is included and also helps to reduce bandwidth requirements. Additionally, users can examine areas of the original image in greater detail using digital pan/tilt/zoom controls.
This advanced model includes a dual chipset with the Axis ARTPEC-7 chip and a DLPU which serves as the basis for granular object classification using Axis Object Analytics. Thanks to this intelligent technology, the camera can detect and classify humans and/or vehicles as well as distinguish between different types of vehicles such as cars, bikes, trucks and buses. This helps to reduce the number of false alarms and enables operators to focus on genuine incidents. ACAP support is also included for the installation of other advanced analytics applications from Axis and third-party developers – alongside various configurable video motion detection and tampering alarms.
Onboard storage provides a backup if the network fails, recording files onto the MicroSD card (not included). Sophisticated video management is also possible by integrating this unit with high-performance VMS such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect. In addition, a cloud-based solution can be implemented via the intuitive Morphean Cloud CCTV platform or CamStreamer Cloud.
PoE+ support delivers power and network connectivity over a single cable – helping to enable quick and cost-effective installation. The camera is also housed in an IP66 and IK10-rated casing for reliable use in outdoor locations that may be exposed to tampering attempts.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
