This outdoor-ready, vandal-resistant dome IP camera provides detail-packed 4K UHD resolution video at up to 25 fps. Featuring advanced imaging technologies, such as Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), the unit helps to improve the quality of images captured in challenging lighting conditions. OptimisedIR technology is also included and helps to enhance night-vision at a distance of up to 40m. With the inclusion of Axis' ARTPEC-7 chipset and support for the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP), users are able to utilise advanced analytics applications to help improve alarm signalling. Additional features include edge storage (microSD card not included) and Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for simplified installation.

Camera

The high-quality unit is equipped with a varifocal lens that offers horizontal views of up to 100° - enabling users to easily set the viewing angle during installation. It includes OptimisedIR for monitoring in complete darkness at a distance of up to 40m; and two-way audio functionality is also possible by connecting an external microphone and speaker via optional Axis T61 audio and I/O interfaces (sold separately).

Imaging

Lightfinder 2.0 technology captures full colour video footage in near-dark conditions while Forensic WDR technology retains image details across scenes with high contrast lighting. Axis Corridor Format vertically orientates the video stream to optimise recording in narrow areas and motion-adaptive exposure is also included - helping to reduce the motion blur from approaching or nearby objects. In addition, users can view areas of interest in the original image in greater detail with the camera's digital PTZ controls.

Video analytics

Various video motion detection and tampering alarms can be configured to enhance dynamic scene awareness and deliver reliable security monitoring. Axis Object Analytics are also included - enabling users to identify and classify humans and vehicles and suppress most sources of costly false alarms. Additionally, the camera features support for ACAP which allows users to install other high-performance analytics applications from Axis and third-party developers.

Video management

Data can be stored directly to the on-board MicroSD card (not included) - serving as a data backup if the network connection is interrupted. Sophisticated video management is also possible by integrating this unit with high-performance VMS such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect - and a cloud-based solution can be achieved through the Morphean Cloud CCTV platform orCamStreamer Cloud.

Installation

To simplify installation, PoE support delivers power and network connectivity to the camera over a single cable. The unit is also housed in an IP66 and IK10-rated casing for reliable use in exposed outdoor locations that are prone to vandalism attempts.
