Overview of the Axis P3235-LV

This versatile dome IP camera delivers smooth HD 1080p resolution video footage at up to 30 frames per second (fps). Part of the Axis P32 Series, the camera features an IK08-rated housing to provide robust protection in exposed indoor areas and supports true day/night recording that is enhanced by integrated infrared (IR) illumination up to 30m. Additional features include a range of advanced imaging technologies for clear image capture in any light condition, as well as support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and two-way audio.

The camera is equipped with a varifocal lens which provides wide horizontal views (up to 90°) and allows the desired viewing angle to be set during installation. Areas of interest can be monitored closely using the multi-streaming feature, which allows two regions within the field of view to be cropped and streamed separately for live viewing or recording.

WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) - Forensic Capture technology enables details in scenes with bright and dark areas to be viewed clearly, whilst Axis' Lightfinder technology provides full colour viewing in extreme low-light conditions. For narrow scenes such as corridors and staircases, Axis Corridor format helps to maximise the area of interest by vertically orientating the video stream.

Configurable video motion detection alarms can be set to trigger recording to the on-board MicroSD card (not included) and also inform users of activity via email notification. Users can also choose to connect a microphone and speaker (not included) through the audio I/O ports to enable audio recording and two-way communication with those close to the camera. Supervised digital I/O ports help to enhance alarm signalling with the connection of external alarm sources, and will also trigger an alert if connection to the devices is lost.

This IP camera reduces bandwidth usage by using Axis' Zipstream technology which analyse and optimises the video stream in real-time - recording important details in high quality, whilst filtering out other areas to help reduce bandwidth and storage use. Additionally, remote focus and zoom eliminates the need for hands-on fine tuning and PoE compatibility means both power and network connectivity can be delivered to the camera over a single cable – simplifying installation.
