Overview of the Axis P3228-LVE

This outdoor ready dome IP camera can deliver 4K Ultra HD resolution at full frame rate, complete with true day/night recording and up to 30m of infrared night vision. Part of the Axis P32 Series, the unit features an IK10-rated housing to provide robust protection in exposed areas and can be easily installed using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). In addition, a range of advanced imaging technologies are also supported for clear image capture - in any lighting condition.

The camera is equipped with a varifocal lens which provides horizontal viewing angles up to 100° and enables optimum scene coverage to be set during installation. Multi-view streaming allows specific areas within the camera’s field of view to be cropped and streamed separately for live viewing or recording - a helpful tool when closely monitoring regions of interest.

OptimisedIR technology is included to ensure an evenly illuminated image by automatically adapting the angle of illumination to the zoom level set. In addition, Forensic WDR ensures the capture of details in high contrast scenes and Axis’ Lightfinder technology provides full colour viewing in ambient light extremes.

Users can configure video motion detection and tampering alarms to help notify them of activity via a choice of notifications including email. These motion detection alarms can also be set to trigger MicroSD card recording - ensuring all activity is captured.

Installation is simplified by a handful of features including support for PoE, as well as remote zoom and focus which eliminate the need for hands-on fine tuning. With the use of Axis Zipstream technology, bandwidth and storage requirements are lowered by an average of up to 50%, ensuring that important details within the image are maintained within the video stream, while unnecessary data can be removed.
