Equipped with both a fixed lens and varifocal tele lens, the high-performance dual sensor Axis P1518-LE box camera enables around-the-clock wide scene coverage and close-up views of the same scene simultaneously. Capture wide 113° scenes in up to 4K UHD resolution with the 5.85mm fixed lens, while the 29mm tele lens offers detailed, zoomed-in images from extended distances in 1080p. Enhance building and perimeter protection through reliable AI-driven video analytics, with images enhanced by Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR to ensure accurate alerts even in challenging lighting. In complete darkness, OptimizedIR LEDs illuminate with a 50m range.
The unit mounts directly to walls with the included mount, and can be ceiling mounted with additional accessories. PoE support enables fast, cost-effective installation, powering both video channels through a single cable. Robust and outdoor-ready, the device is IP66/IP67 and IK10 rated for effective weather and vandalism protection.
Video Analytics
Axis Object Analytics (AOA) supports both channels, accurately detecting, classifying, and counting humans and vehicles including cars, buses, trucks, and bikes. By analysing video on the edge, it generates rapid alerts for fast incident response. False alarms are drastically reduced thanks to its ARTPEC-8 Deep Learning CPU, which uses AI algorithms to filter out irrelevant events such as small animals and falling leaves. Detected objects are distinctly highlighted with colour-coded bounding boxes in the camera and/or the VMS. Up to 10 virtual scenarios, such as line crossing, object in area, and occupancy in area, can run simultaneously to improve scene awareness and provide valuable security insights.
This camera also supports other Axis and third-party applications, enabling greater functionality for the camera to meet more specialist demands.
