The Axis P1487‑LE is an intelligent 5MP resolution bullet camera designed to deliver accurate detections and fewer false alarms. It is built on the ARTPEC‑9 chipset, offering advanced image processing and next-generation AI analytics on the edge. The camera features a varifocal lens for a flexible 35˚ - 106˚ viewing angle. OptimizedIR provides illumination up to 50m range in complete darkness for 24-hour performance. Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0 ensures clearer images in challenging lighting. It supports AV1 codec for reduced overall video storage and bandwidth requirements. Remote focus and zoom simplifies installation, and the robust housing ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
Axis Object Analytics (AOA) accurately detects, classifies, and counts humans and vehicles including cars, buses, trucks, and bikes. By analysing video on the edge, it generates rapid alerts for fast incident response. False alarms are drastically reduced thanks to its Deep Learning CPU, which uses AI algorithms to filter out irrelevant events such as small animals and falling leaves. Detected objects are distinctly highlighted with colour-coded bounding boxes in the camera and/or the VMS. Up to 10 virtual scenarios, such as line crossing, object in area, and occupancy in area, can run simultaneously to improve scene awareness and provide valuable security insights.
This camera also supports other Axis and third-party applications, enabling greater functionality for the camera to meet more specialist demands.
