Overview of the Axis P1427-LE

IP66-rated, outdoor-ready P1427-LE from the affordable Axis P14 series, with 5 megapixel resolution (12 fps) or HD 1080p (30 fps), and true day/night with built-in infrared LEDs providing up to 15m of OptimisedIR night-vision. Additional features include P-iris lens, remote focus & zoom, dual codec, intelligent video, I/O input, on-board storage, wide dynamic range, Corridor Format and PoE.

Capable of 5 megapixel resolution image capture at 12 frames per second or full HD 1080p (30 fps), the Axis P1427-LE from the cost-effective P14 series of outdoor-ready bullet network cameras provides detailed, high-level surveillance suitable for external use in harsh weather and cold temperatures. The true day/night capability of the camera enables full colour image capture during the day and monochrome image capture in low light using the infrared-cut filter. 24-hour monitoring is enhanced further by the integrated IR LEDs that provide up to 15m of illumination for long-range image capture, adapted to best suit the scene using OptimisedIR technology. The input port is ideal for connecting a PIR sensor for example.

Complete with remote focus and zoom, the Axis P1427-LE can be quickly and easily installed whilst the P-iris lens ensures that resolution, clarity, contrast and depth of field are at optimum levels for high quality image capture. With wide dynamic range (WDR) technology, the P1427-LE is able to effectively capture detail in very dark and very bright areas of a scene, enabling clear identification. Axis Corridor Format provides a handy feature for when monitoring narrow areas as the technology vertically orientates the video stream to prevent the recording of redundant areas.

The Axis P1427-LE bullet network camera uses a variety of methods including email notification to alert operators of an event detected using the intelligent video capabilities. Motion detection can also trigger Micro SD card recording (card not included) to ensure activity is captured; this feature also provides a data backup should the network lose connection. H.264 offers considerable file reduction with little affect on original footage whereas Motion JPEG is also supported if required for certain applications. The camera receives power through the network cable using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and therefore is easy and low-cost to install.

The Axis P1427-LE also comes with an integrated wall bracket and adjustable weather shield.
