Overview of the Axis P1364-E

This compact and outdoor-ready network camera is part of the Axis P13 series, delivering HD 720p resolution at up to 50 frames per second (fps). The camera supports true day/night recording, as well as Axis' WDR-Forensic Capture and Lightfinder technologies for high quality monitoring 24 hours a day. Additional features include support for two-way audio, edge storage and PoE.

The camera's varifocal lens enables the optimum viewing angle to be set during installation and P-iris control helps the camera to deliver well balanced, detailed image quality. Digital PTZ control allows the user to examine the original image in more detail - this is helpful when trying to identify persons or objects. To simplify installation, the pixel counter, focus assistant and remote focus features help to achieve sharp images with the desired level of detail.

The unit's IP67 and IK10 rated housing protects the camera from harsh weather conditions and vandalism attempts, making it ideal for use in demanding applications such as industrial sites and city surveillance.

A range of advanced imaging technologies help to deliver clear video, even in scenes with complex lighting. Wide Dynamic Range ~ Forensic Capture ensures all details in dark and bright areas are seen, whilst Axis' Lightfinder provides full colour imaging in extreme low lighting. The camera is able to seamlessly transition between these technologies to provide continuous video capture in difficult lighting conditions.

The unit can provide two-way audio when a microphone and speaker (not included) are connected via the external I/O ports, enabling audio recording and verbal interaction. Audio alarms, alongside tamper and motion detection methods, can be configured to help deliver accurate and reliable IP CCTV monitoring. When these alarms are triggered, the camera is able to send alerts to the user via a range of notifications including email.

The camera features Axis' Zipstream technology which analyses the video in real-time and continuously optimises the stream. Details deemed more important are maintained in the stream and unnecessary data is removed, lowering bandwidth and storage requirements by up to 50%.

With support for PoE, the camera can receive power and network connectivity over a single cable, resulting in a cost-effective installation solution. Additionally, a MicroSD card (not included) can be used for local alarm recording and as a backup solution in the case of network failure.
