Part of the attractively priced M30 series by Axis, this panoramic mini-dome IP camera captures high-quality 12MP video at full frame rate (no WDR) – 24 hours a day. With support for a wide range of viewing modes, including a 360° overview, this unit can provide comprehensive overviews of open indoor scenes. Other features include remote access via the free Axis Companion application and Forensic WDR technology for sharp detail in high-contrast scenes.
Camera
With a 360° panoramic lens and true day/night recording with IR cut filter, this unit provides round-the-clock overview monitoring, capturing footage from all angles and eliminating blind spots. Two-way audio is also possible by connecting a microphone and speaker (not included) through an external I/O port (interface not included).
Imaging
Various dewarped viewing modes, such as double panorama and quad view are supported, allowing users to view the original fisheye image with less distortion. The unit can also capture detailed images in scenes that feature strong backlit conditions thanks to Forensic WDR technology.
Video analytics
Configurable camera-based video motion detection and tampering alarms are available; helping to alert users of activity within the scene via notifications such as email.
Video management
Recordings can be written to the on-board MicroSD card (not included) to provide a helpful backup of data if the network fails and, by installing the free Axis Companion application, users can remotely access the unit for simple video management of up to 16 camera channels. For further functionality, the M3068-P can be easily integrated into other high-performance video management systems, such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect.
Installation
With support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), this camera can receive power and network connectivity over one cable for cost-effective installation.
