Overview of the Axis M3057-PLVE
This dome IP camera by Axis delivers 6MP resolution at up to 50 frames per second (fps), complete with true day/night recording and infrared (IR) illumination up to 20m. Part of the best-selling Axis M30 series, the unit is housed in an IK10-rated casing and features a hemispheric lens which offers full 360° overviews of exposed indoor or outdoor areas. The camera also features an integrated HDMI output for live streaming to a local HD monitor and can be accessed remotely via the free Axis Companion application.
The camera’s original 360° image can be seen with less distortion, thanks to support for various viewing modes such as double panorama and quad view. Users also have the ability to examine specific areas of the fisheye image in closer detail using digital pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) controls. In addition, these zoomed-in sections can then be cropped and used in combination with the camera’s multi-view streaming feature. Multi-view allows the original 360° overview to be streamed simultaneously alongside a maximum of two cropped areas, or one dewarped view.
Axis’ OptimisedIR technology intelligently adapts the level of IR illumination from the unit’s integrated LEDs to best suit the scene and avoid overexposure. Advanced imaging technologies such as Forensic WDR ensures the capture of details in high contrast scenes, and Axis’ Lightfinder provides full colour viewing in ambient light extremes.
Configurable video motion detection alarms are supported to help provide reliable and accurate security surveillance. When triggered, these alarms can send alerts directly to the user via notifications such as email. Detection alarms can also be set to trigger edge recording - ensuring all motion is captured.
Axis Companion software is supported and provides an easy to use video management solution for up to 16 IP cameras. The free software allows users to record and playback video footage from the camera’s MicroSD card (not included) for an affordable, remote monitoring solution. Axis Companion is available as a PC client and mobile application
