Overview of the Axis F4005

Unobtrusive and compact, this Axis internal dome sensor unit with recessed mount is designed for connecting to an Axis F series main unit to provide HD 1080p resolution. When connected, this camera provides a wide horizontal angle of view reaching 113° as well as a 120° tilt angle allowing adjustment of the desired viewing area. With support for Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) - Forensic Capture and Axis' Corridor Format, this unit is suitable for placement within offices and also retail areas.

Part of the modular Axis F series, the sensor unit provides non-invasive and compact CCTV surveillance - ideal for tight indoor spaces and the wide horizontal viewing angle results in good coverage of the scene. Dependent on which Axis F series main unit the sensor is connected to, the model is capable of capturing HD 1080p resolution at up to 60 frames per second (fps).

WDR – Forensic Capture (where supported by the main unit) allows the F4005 to deliver high quality monitoring in a variety of lighting environments. The technology lowers noise levels and increases the image signal to obtain the highest level of detail within the scene. By highlighting details in both dark and well lit areas, the video captured has higher forensic value - ideal for use in retail environments.

Equipped with Axis Corridor Format technology, this IP camera has the ability to provide a vertically oriented ''portrait'' video stream. The video captured makes more effective use of the camera’s image sensor, maximising the area of interest being recorded and also reducing bandwidth and storage waste. This feature is ideal for use in corridors, aisles and other thoroughfares.

The recessed dome design and 12m cable connecting the sensor to the main unit enables simple installation and offers unobtrusive surveillance.

Please note: this sensor unit is designed for use with the F41, F34 and F44 main units and is not a standalone network camera.
