Overview of the Axis D201-S XPT Q6055
Designed for use in extreme environments that feature a high-risk of fire or explosions, this ATEX-Certified IP camera by Axis features a powerful PTZ network camera that is enclosed in a 316L stainless steel housing. Capable of delivering HD 1080p resolution at full frame rate, this advanced model has full pan/tilt zoom functionality and 32x optical zoom for in depth investigation of specific areas. The unit features a range of advanced imaging technologies for clear image capture in any lighting condition and is supplied with the Axis T8154 High Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) midspan to facilitate installation.
With a housing that meets the ATEX-Certified EX II 2 GD standard, this unit's enclosure is able to contain internal explosions and prevent sparks from escaping the device - making it ideal for use within high-risk environments such as petrochemical plants. The model's IP66-rated, electropolished SAE stainless-steel casing with Artic temperature control provides durable external use throughout harsh weather and enables safe start-up in temperatures as low as -40°C.
Variable pan/tilt movements (including 360° pan), alongside powerful 30x optical zooming, allow users to quickly and precisely navigate across large locations - ideal when closely monitoring a person or incident. Additionally, imaging technologies such as wide dynamic range (WDR) are also supported to ensure the capture of details in high contrast scenes.
Video motion detection alarms can be configured to alert users of activity in pre-defined areas. When used in conjunction with Axis' Active Gatekeeper, these alarms can also pan the camera to a preset position when motion is detected and then automatically track the object - ensuring all movement is captured. Basic analytics such as object counting and object removal are also included to help enhance scene awareness and provide reliable security surveillance.
Support for High Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) allows both power and network connection to be delivered to the camera via a single cable, simplifying installation. Additionally, Axis’ Zipstream technology helps to lower bandwidth and storage levels by an average of up to 50%. It optimises the video stream in real-time, allowing important details to be retained while unnecessary data is removed.
Housed in a stainless steel 316L enclosure, which is also weather-resistant, this robust IP camera is built to endue in the most demanding locations. Please note: this intuitive unit must be installed and configured by an ATEX-Certified installer.
