Overview of the Axis Camera Station - 4 channel base pack

Axis Camera Station is a standalone software package for the surveillance and recording of Axis IP cameras. With Axis Camera Station you can view up to 100 Axis IP cameras, either locally on your network or remotely across the internet, record images back to your computer and, with use of the new configuration wizard, quickly and efficiently set up powerful events to make the best use of your cameras without user intervention. Recordings can be stored either on local hard disks and on network attached storage devices allowing you great flexibility on your recording locations. Searching your recordings is also simple with Axis Camera Station through the use of the powerful timeline visualisation system. You can also synchronise camera playback to view the recordings from up to four separate cameras simultaneously. This allows you to track an event in one camera and watch it move to another, allowing you to keep better track on movement. Should you need to export recordings you can do so in either JPEG image or ASF video format.

Axis Camera Station supports MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG recording as well as the new H.264 compression standard. This new compression type allows you to maintain good image quality and frame rate while reducing the impact on network bandwidth. Axis Camera Station will operate at up to 1500fps dependant on server hardware and network speed so you can rest assured that when you require full frame-rate across multiple cameras Axis Camera Station will cope. Axis Camera Station is also capable of recording audio from your camera using AAC, G.711 or G.726 compression.

In addition to local viewing, Axis Camera Station allows you to connect from a remote location using its own client software. Whether you are next door at a neighbour's house or on the other side of the world you can still be confident that you can view your cameras, monitor recordings and keep control over your system. You can even control the output ports of your cameras to control external devices such as lamps or relays.

Key benefits:

  • Efficiently view, record and manage up to 100 IP cameras from a single place
  • Simultaneously view recordings from a single time from up to 4 cameras
  • Support for MPEG-4, MJPEG and the new H.264 compression which optimises network usage
  • Access your Axis Camera Station and your IP cameras from anywhere in the world
