The Vivotek VS7100 is a compact, single channel video server which converts an analogue video signal for monitoring across IP networks, protecting the investment made in security equipment. 2-Way audio allows viewers to monitor sound in addition to video footage as well as talk interactively with people in view.

Both MJPEG and MPEG-4 video compression formats are available on the video server, letting users customize video quality and storage requirements. Mobile phone browser support is also provided so that even when away from a computer, video footage is still accessible. The server casing is also very small in size and can be installed unobtrusively so as not to draw attention.

The VS7100 comes bundled with 16 channel recording software, storing footage to a Windows-based PC at no additional cost. The server is also compatible with pan/tilt systems using the RS-485 protocol, letting users remotely control the angle at which pan/tilt cameras are aiming at. Digital I/O connections also allow events such as recordings to be triggered by manual push buttons or sensors, as well as activating sirens or alarms.
