Overview of the Vivotek SD9361-EHL

This PTZ network camera by Vivotek delivers high quality HD 1080p resolution at up to 60 frames per second (fps). The unit’s IK10 rated housing and support for true day/night recording mean it's ideal for round-the-clock surveillance in exposed outdoor areas. Regions of interest can be examined in detail using full pan/tilt/zoom functionality and a 20x optical zoom. Additional features include Vivotek’s Smart Stream II technology and local recording to SD card.

Endless 360° pan and variable pan/tilt movements provide quick and precise navigation across a wide area, ideal for closely monitoring a person or incident. With support for up to 256 preset positions, the user can configure camera patrols to monitor multiple areas of interest in a sequence.

The unit's five-window video motion detection (VMD) feature enables multiple regions to be defined inside the field of view. When motion is detected in a specified area, an alert is sent to the user notifying them of activity. Alarm signalling can be enhanced with the connection of an external alarm source via the built-in I/O ports. Additionally, the unit’s auto-tracking function enables the camera to automatically move to a preset position when motion is detected.

The unit can provide two-way audio when a microphone and speaker (not included) are connected via the integrated audio I/O ports, enabling verbal interaction through the camera.

Vivotek’s Smart Stream II technology analyses the video stream and reduces bandwidth by separating areas of interest to remain at a higher quality than areas with little or no activity. This technology, in combination with H.265 compression, helps to lower bandwidth and storage levels by up to 80% whilst maintaining high image quality. Support for High Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) supplies the unit with both power and network connectivity via a single cable – resulting in a cost-effective installation. Additionally, edge storage using the built-in SD card slot (card not included) provides a local storage solution, ideal as a backup solution in the case of network failure.
