Overview of the Vivotek SD8363E

High performance, weather proof speed dome network camera, Vivotek SD8363E with true day/night, triple codec, wide dynamic range, audio detection, auto tracking and PoE+

Part of Vivotek’s SUMPREME product line, the SD8363E outdoor speed dome IP camera delivers HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second and effectively covers large areas with 360° panning and 220° tilt, 20x optical zoom enables detailed close-up viewing of specific areas within a scene and video can also be captured in HD 720p at 60 fps for fast-paced applications such as traffic and city surveillance. True day/night capability means the camera can produce colour images during daylight, with a removable infrared cut-filter switching the camera to capture black and white images during low light and at night time for 24/7 surveillance. The outdoor-ready IP66 rated casing protects the camera against bad weather and enables full operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 55°C.

WDR Pro wide dynamic range technology enables the SD8363E to capture high quality video footage when bright highlights and dark shadows exist simultaneously within a scene and often saturate detail. This feature enables the Vivotek SD8363E to cope well with changing lighting environments. Auto tracking detects movement and tracks the object until it is out of the camera’s view, this ensures activity is effectively recorded. Audio detection recognises increases or decreases in sound volume and provides another layer of intrusion detection for accurate surveillance.

A choice of 3 compression methods gives the user bandwidth management flexibility depending on network conditions. PoE+ reduces cabling costs when installing the camera as only one cable is needed for full power and network connectivity. Edge recording onto an integrated SD card (not included) provides local storage space as an alternative to transferring straight to centralised servers or PCs.
