Overview of Vivotek SD8121
The Vivotek SD8121 is a cost-effective surveillance IP camera which combines endless panning and 360° tilt with 12x optical zoom for wide surveillance coverage. Day/night switching allows surveillance to continue when light levels drop, while the wide dynamic range (WDR) feature ensures that detail is captured in both bright and shaded areas within the scene, making the SD8121 suitable for monitoring entrances and exits where WDR capability is required.
Low-light footage is improved further with the camera's 3D noise reduction feature which works to remove image noise from low-light footage. Captured video can be stored using the camera's SDHC recording system, or alternatively using the included PC software for surveillance of up to 32 cameras.
Footage can be viewed using 3GPP-capable mobile phones for surveillance on the move. Users can also capture audible events or communicate interactively with people in view by connecting the camera with microphone and speakers.
