Overview of the Vivotek IP8371E

High-level and cost-effective IP8371E IP67-rated external bullet network camera from Vivotek, capable of 3 megapixel resolution at 30 fps and HD 1080p at 60 fps. Advanced night-time surveillance is provided by true day/night functionality, 30m IR LEDs, Smart IR technology, Supreme Night Visibility and 3D noise reduction. Additional features include P-iris lens, wide dynamic range, Start Stream technology, two-way audio, triple codec, on-board recording, PoE and Corridor Format. Comes with cable managed bracket, 32-channel software and mobile access.

Equipped with a 3 megapixel sensor, the advanced whilst affordable IP8371E bullet network camera from Vivotek delivers 2048x1536 (3MP) resolution at 30 frames per second and 1920x1080 (HD 1080p) at 60 frames per second. Incorporating an infrared-cut filter and 30m infrared LED lights with Smart IR technology to avoid overexposure, the camera provides long-range night-vision enhanced further by 3D noise reduction and Supreme Night Visibility. IP67 rated and an included cable managed bracket makes the IP8371E robust and suitable for outdoor applications subject to harsh weather.

The Vivotek IP8371E is easy to install using the Smart Focus System, enabling focus and zoom to be carried out remotely, whilst Power over Ethernet (PoE) requires only one cable to be installed to transmit both power and data. The P-iris lens is controlled by its built-in stepper motor, maintaining the iris opening at optimal levels to provide high-level sharpness and field depth. The IP8371E is able to capture detail of objects in high contrast environments using wide dynamic range (WDR) technology.

Featuring configurable triple window video motion detection, the Vivotek IP8371E alerts the user to activity detected in pre-defined areas. Support for two-way audio enables operators to transmit and receive audio simultaneously by connecting a microphone and speaker (not included), allowing sound to be captured to assist with event analysis and verbal warnings to be given. With Smart Stream technology, users are able to optimise the resolution of a region of interest, enabling viewing in higher quality for identification, whilst also conserving bandwidth usage. Bandwidth use can further be optimised by utilising the Corridor View function that rotates video streams to enhance viewing of vertically orientated scenes.

The IP8371E supports edge recording onto an integrated MicroSD card (not included), providing decentralised storage that can be used as a backup if the network fails. Users can choose from H.264, Motion JPEG for MPEG-4 compressions, making the IP8371E suitable for a wide variety of requirements and preferences.

The IP8371E comes with Vivotek’s ST7501 software for up to 32 cameras and the Vivotek iViewer app enables remote viewing via smartphones.
