Overview of the Vivotek IP8162
The Vivotek IP8162 is an indoor network camera capable of capturing video in high quality HD 1080p / 2 megapixel resolution at up to 30 images per second. The camera's wide dynamic range ensures light and dark areas in the scene are reproduced into clear CCTV footage, while the IR-cut filter allows it to capture images in very low light levels, making it ideal for high-performance 24-hour surveillance.
The included recording software can capture video from up to 32 Vivotek IP cameras and record them to a Windows PC. Additionally, the integrated SDHC memory card slot offers an edge-storage solution when little bandwidth is available or backup or stand-alone recording is required (please note that the card is not included).
Complimentary to video, the camera captures audio using its integrated microphone and allows users to speak with people in view when a loudspeaker is connected to the camera. The camera's easy-installation features are also worth a mention, with PoE and an analogue video output for quick setup.
More advanced features such as Focus Assist for precise, easy focussing, ePTZ and Video Cropping for data transfer efficiency, and a triple codec combined with Activity Adaptive Streaming for optimum frame rate and bandwidth control, make this camera a complete offering for demanding CCTV installations.
