Overview of the Vivotek FE8174V

Vivotek FE8174V outdoor 360° fisheye camera with high 5 megapixel resolution, capable of providing a full hemispheric surround view when ceiling mounted or a 180° view when wall mounted, for video monitoring without blind spots. Ideal for large large open spaces, such as hotel lobbies, shopping centres and car parks.

The Vivotek FE8174V 360° IP camera is an advanced, feature-packed unit featuring a 5 megapixel resolution sensor. The fisheye lens provides various display layouts, achieving full 360° viewing when ceiling mounted or 180° panoramic viewing when mounted to a wall. On-board dewarping means that the video stream showing on display monitors is in a conventional, useful format without the need for any additional software. The FE8174V's digital pan-tilt-zoom function (ePTZ) offers effective monitoring of large areas in detail, whilst preventing blind spots so that nothing will be missed. IK10 and IP66 rated, this low-profile camera is unobtrusive and suitable for outdoor use and in areas where there is a risk of tampering with the camera.

Featuring a removable IR cut-filter, this Vivotek camera automatically switches to the correct capture mode depending on ambient light levels, capturing colour images during daylight or monochrome (black and white) images in low light and at night. Two way audio and a built-in microphone enables sound recording enriching the video footage for easier and more detailed event analysis. The camera's 'pixel calculator' makes it easy to set up the camera with the required level of image detail in a particular area of interest.

Five window intelligent video motion detection provides reliable, accurate security surveillance as activity detected in user-defined areas can trigger a series of events, including alert notification via digital outputs, email and HTTP whilst recording is started also. Capable of providing three individually configurable streams the FE8174V CCTV camera offers plenty of flexibility for bandwidth and storage management, whilst recording options include on-board video storage, recording directly onto a NAS or centralised recording using Vivotek's freely included ST7501 recording software or an open platform video management software such as Milestone Xprotect. Mobile access is available via the iViewer app with both iOS and Android versions available. Support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) requires only a single cable for camera installation, reducing time and costs.
