This camera's 360° surround viewing in 5 megapixels creates a very high resolution, wide coverage area indoor CCTV surveillance solution, with HD 1080p video at 30 fps also supported for those applications where high frame rate is required. Various display layouts including 180° panoramic and regional view, enable various mounting applications and provide optimum coverage of a large area without blind spots. ePTZ enables closer focus on a region of interest with just a few clicks of a mouse, the 5MP sensor providing high quality focus on close-ups.

The Vivotek FE8172 provides a 24/7 indoor monitoring solution through the use of a removable infrared filter which switches images to monochrome during night-time. This ensures detailed images are captured around-the-clock and that no activity is missed. Its wide dynamic range image enhancement features mean high quality images are captured by the FE8172 network camera and ensuring detail is maintained when a scene with high contrast (bright highlights and dark shadows) is captured.

Power over Ethernet support offers an easy installation solution for the Vivotek FE8172 IP camera as only a single cable is required, also reducing long term maintenance costs. On-board recording onto a MicroSD card (card not included) gives the user storage flexibility and reduces bandwidth across the network. With 3 choices for video compression, the user can manage bandwidth and storage use accordingly, creating a custom security system ideal for their requirements.

Mobile viewing is supported by the Vivotek FE8172 through iViewer software which enables remote live monitoring of video data on smartphones and tablets, ideal for business owners and managers. The included Vivotek ST7501 recording software offers easy management of up to 32 cameras.
