Vivotek | FD8372
Vivotek FD8372 outdoor 5 megapixel dome IP camera with smart focus, day/night with IR light up to 20m and SD storage
Overview of the Vivotek FD8372
This product is discontinued, an alternative model is the Panasonic i-PRO WV-S2531LN
Vivotek FD8372 network camera with 'true' day/night, IK10 & IP66 rating, wide dynamic range, dual codec, ONVIF compatibility and free, included recording software
This Vivotek FD8372 outdoor network camera delivers high image quality through its 5 megapixel CMOS sensor and can also povide full HD1080p video at up to 30 frames per second, suitable for critical surveillance applications. The vandal and weatherproof casing is IK10 and IP66-rated, providing a robust and durable surveillance solution for use in outdoor areas at risk of vandalism.
An automatic infrared-cut filter provides this Vivotek FD8372 with its ‘true’ day/night capability, producing full colour images in daylight and switching to mono images in very low light and at night-time. Integrated LED lights enhance the night-vision capability of the FD8372 up to 20 metres, enabling the camera to produce high quality black and white images of objects up to 20m away. These day/night features make this camera an ideal choice for areas where detailed outdoor surveillance is required at all times.
The built-in stepping motor can be remotely controlled for focal length and focus and Vivotek's Smart Focus technology makes installation and adjustment easier (it can often be more difficult in megapixel cameras due to the image detail provided from the megapixel sensor). Wide dynamic range enables the camera to capture images where both bright highlights and dark shadows exist in the same scene whilst ensuring detail is visible and images are clear. This enables the FD8372 IP camera to be used for securely monitoring entrances and exits in high detail.
A Digital PTZ function enables efficient viewing with just a few clicks of the mouse to zoom in on a region of interest, and H.264 and MJPEG compression modes provide bandwidth and storage management flexibility. PoE support facilitates installation through only a single cable for both power and network connectivity, and makes the FD8372 suitable for use in areas that may be more difficult to cable. Edge recording to the on-board SD card is possible and provides a variety of benefits to the user including removing the need for a centralised storage device such as server or PC, reducing the total cost of the system.
Vivotek's ST7501 32-channel recording software is included with the FD8372 and their iViewer application enables users to monitor live video from several cameras or make a direct connection to an individual camera, remotely via tablets or smartphones. iViewer also provides PTZ/ePTZ screen control and gives the user viewing flexibility. The iViewer software is ideal for business owners and managers on the move.
Please note: this camera does not come with a power supply, if you require a PoE midspan, please select one from the above menu.
