Overview of the Vivotek FD8164V

IP66 and IK10-rated outdoor vandal-resistant FD8164V dome network camera from Vivotek, with 2 megapixel resolution and full HD 1080p capability (30 fps), true day/night functionality, built-in infrared LEDs providing up to 15m of illumination and 95° horizontal viewing angle. Additional features include 3D noise reduction, built-in microphone for audio capture, PoE and MicroSD card recording.

Easy-to-use and designed for durable external use, the vandal-resistant FD1764V dome network camera from Vivotek with 95° horizontal view provides unobtrusive surveillance ideal for demanding outdoor locations. Equipped with a 2 megapixel sensor, the camera is able to capture full HD 1080p video footage up to a smooth 30 fps whilst the built-in infrared-cut filter provides true day/night capability. Further night-vision is provided up to 15m from 8 built-in infrared LEDs for image capture in complete darkness. IP66 and IK10-rated, the FD8164V's casing is robust and protects the camera against harsh weather and impact.

The Vivotek FD8164V’s built-in microphone has an effective range up to 5m; enabling sound from the camera’s surrounding to be recorded to assist with analysis of events and activity. The clarity of low light video is improved using 3D noise reduction technology for high quality image capture in poor lighting. With triple window motion detection, users can be accurately alerted of activity detected, for secure and efficient monitoring.

With support for industry standard H.264 compression, file size can be considerably reduced without affecting image quality, conserving bandwidth. With additional MJPEG compatibility, dual streams can be simultaneously transmitted in either format. Video storage onto an integrated MicroSD card (not included) is low-cost and also acts as a backup for data in case of network issues. The FD8164V is powered through Power over Ethernet (PoE), providing simple and fast installation as the network cable carries power.

Vivotek ST7501 recording software is included with the FD8164V and provides connection for up to 32 cameras.
