The Vivotek FD7131 is a fixed dome, indoor IP camera which comes with a 1/4 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor providing resolutions up to 640x480 at 30 images per second. Coming equipped with a 2-4mm varifocal lens offering a viewing angle from 53-105°, the camera also offers dual streaming so that both MJPEG and MPEG-4 streams can be pulled from the camera simultaneously.

The FD7131 can produce useable images in light levels as low as 1.5 lux and offers twelve ultra-bright white LEDs, which can be controlled by an on-board light sensor, providing illumination in areas with no other external light sources. To assist with intruder detection, the FD7131 is also fitted with a passive infrared (PIR) sensor which will detect changes in heat. This can be used in conjunction with on-board features such as motion detection to reduce the amount of events registered in error. Also, for when away from a computer, the camera offers browser support for 3GPP compatible mobile phones.

A three-axis mechanical bracket is used for positioning of the lens, allowing the FD7131 to be wall or ceiling mounted dependant on requirements. Since the camera supports 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), the camera can be installed quickly and easily as only a single cable needs to be extended from your existing network. Alternatively, the camera can be powered from the 12VDC power adaptor. The FD7131 also supports two-way audio which makes use of a built in microphone but also has input and output ports for additional audio equipment (not supplied).
