The Sony SNT-V704 is a four channel Video Network Station allowing you to connect up to 4 traditional analogue CCTV cameras to an IP network, allowing you to control and monitor your cameras over a local area network (LAN) or over the Internet. The device converts existing analogue video into digital MPEG-4 video or JPEG compressed images at a resolution of up to 720x576 (PAL) and at speed of up to 25/30 images per second providing smooth quality output using the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. Features include Bi-Directional audio, allowing you to listen in to sounds in the network station's surrounding area while also being able to issue instructions to people in the network stations vicinity. Built-in Activity Detection can be used to trigger alarms or transfer images via email when motion is detected, or activity is detected on the sensor input port (e.g. a window has been opened). The Sony SNT-V704 is easy to set up, expand and maintain and is ideal for small business security surveillance and remote monitoring.
