The Sony SNC-HM662 network camera provides uninterrupted 360° hemispheric viewing, giving an ideal ‘overview’ of an area with just a single camera. Whilst ordinary fisheye lenses can produce degraded image quality at the edges, the SNC-HM662 uses a unique ImmerVision panomorph lens to capture a true hemispheric view without blind spots. Video captured from the 5 megapixel sensor is clear and crisp right up to the edges, at up to 13 fps. 360° images are automatically ‘de-warped’ to give an undistorted view. The IK10 and IP66-ratings make this camera suitable for outdoor use throughout harsh weather, and provides resistance to tampering attempts and impact for robust, durable CCTV.

True day/night functionality though a removable infrared cut-filter enables the SNC-HM662 to capture round-the-clock high quality images, producing full colour video during daylight, automatically switching to black and white video in low light and at night-time. A built-in microphone provides the opportunity for audio to be captured and recorded to complement video and assist with data analysis.

Electronic PTZ enables fast navigation to a specific part of the camera’s field of view for close-up viewing in addition to a variety of view modes including 360°, 180° panoramic, quad view and 9-way split screen for effective large area coverage. The camera can stream the whole image to the recording platform even when the scene is being viewed close-up.

Intelligent video motion detection with tamper detection enables the camera to alert the user via email if activity is detected, providing accurate and precise monitoring. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support makes installing the SNC-HM662 IP camera quicker and easier than traditional cabling methods and recording onto an integrated MicroSD card (card not included) provides data failover protection in the event of network connection loss.
